SIR Paul McCartney went back to his roots by playing a secret gig at Liverpool's Cavern Club. An audience of 180 close family and friends were at the one-off show in the city's reconstruction of the venue where the Beatles made their name.

Pregnant wife Heather danced as Paul joined the band Love Train on stage for a set including versions of We Are Family and Let it Be. Cavern owner Bill Heckle said; He was dancing the night away and enjoyed every minute.

Sir Paul plays his final Back In The World tour gig tonight to a crowd of 30,000 at King's Dock in Liverpool.

Having done yeoman service at Zara Phillips's 21st birthday party at Windsor Castle back in May, premiere party band Love Train sincerely hope they were not in any way to blame for further bust-ups with her boyfriend, national hunt jockey Richard Johnson. If anything, people normally cement their relationships when Love Train do their stuff.

Indeed, the lads played at a MacMillan Trust bash at Waddesdon Manor in June last year, where Charles and Camilla appeared together. The band have also performed at many other prestigious events continuing to spread the word of lurve' all over the place.

Review - Sunday Telegraph - May 12th 2002

THE QUEEN may be forgiven for having a little lie-in this morning as she recovers from last night's rave at Windsor Castle where she hosted a 21st birthday party for her frisky granddaughter Zara Phillips.

Two hundred friends of Zara, including her boyfriend, Richard Johnson, and her royal relatives Prince William and Prince Harry, danced to a string of Seventies hits played by a band called Love Train. Among the favourites were Diana Ross's Chain Reaction and Kool and The Gang's Celebration.

The guests swirled around the vaulted undercroft at Windsor, formerly the servants' hall, which had been lit by hundreds of lanterns and decorated in blue and silver by the Princess Royal's favourite part organiser, Bentley's Entertainments, run by Lord Snowdon's half brother Peregrine Armstrong-Jones.

I just wanted to say it really is a great success when the dance floor is filled from the first song and people still asking for more at the end of the evening!
What a fun night...

On behalf of my clients BT and JB for putting on such a fantastic show. It was slick from the first number.

My clients thought it was the best night ever and are still talking about it... It goes to prove you don't need equal numbers in men/women when your're singing such classics. Once again, many, many thanks... hoping to work with you all again very soon.
Kind regards
